Evil-Lyn's Hair Showing In Storyboard Art

When Evil-Lyn's helmet was removed in Season 2 episode "Price of Deceit", fans could joyce in the little homage that her hair was white, as it was in the Filmation series (of course in Filmation it was cut a bit shorter).

The helmet otherwise covers her hair completely and there is no real indication what colour her hair might be under it.
And most cartoon-characters have black eye-brows, so even that is no help.

But looking at the storyboard-artwork for "The Beginning - part III", in the final scenes with Skeletor and Evil-Lyn at Snake Mountain...

You can actually see that in the storyboard-art, there is a bit of her hair possibly showing underneath the helmet when viewed from behind. Atleast that's how I see it. For it doesn't appear to be any fur for the collar and the helmet has never had anything furry on it.

Of course in the final animation, Evil-Lyn's head and neck are covered in shadows when looking from behind. So it covers up any details, but you can still make out that they have not illustrated any hair to be showing underneath the helmet.
Does this mean that at some stage they were planning for Evil-Lyn's hair to be seen underneath her helmet? Or was this just the artist's interpretation for this particular view.

We may never know...

Wallpaper - He-Man's 200x Powersword

The 2002 animated He-Man series by Mike Young Productions would have been really awesome to get on blu-ray. Sadly the harsh cold statistics of DVD sales didn't support that idea for there to be enough audience, gathered with BCI Eclipse shutting down and the series being acquired by Mill Creek.

In any case, I would have loved seeing the cartoon in high definition.

Here is a shot of He-Man's Powersword from his first Transformation in "The Beginning - part II".

Queen Marlena from Storyboard Art looks familiar...

When Mike Young Productions were working on the Animated movie for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, that later turned to into order for a cartoon show instead, there were some changes made (as is often the case in animation) from early production to what finally landed on our screens.

Checking the storyboards for season 1 episode "The Beginning - part 1", there is a scene with King Randor and Queen Marlena in the Royal Palace of Eternos during the birthday-party for Prince Adam, waiting for the Prince to actually show up.

On a more careful look at the art on the Storyboard frame, both King Randor and Queen Marlena look slightly different from the final versions they would end up with.

But Queen Marlena actually has in the storyboard art a striking resemblance to the classic Filmation Studios' version of Queen Marlena.

This could have been a case of the artist using the Filmation model as placeholder during the storyboarding, before receiving final approved model for the new 2002 model of Queen Marlena.

Whatever is the reason, it is a very interesting "homage".
